“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods” (Psalm 95:1-, NIV).
Over time, I know that the format of these things I’m thankful for will change. But anyway, here are the things I am thankful for today:
Thanking God for:
- My car
- My job
Passage: “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, NIV).
Reason: I’m not the one to brag about things– I’m usually private when it comes to matters that come to my personal life– but I must brag about my God! Like… God gave me a car! I never knew I needed one until I had one. My car has been such a blessing! I thank God that He made me a steward of such a great blessing.
And I thank God for my job–well, I actually have 4 jobs. Although having four jobs is not ideal, I thank God for them because each gives me an opportunity to be God’s hands and feet. I can read my Bible, play music, talk about God and my passions freely and openly, and just be in a community that fosters growth of students. I thank God for the opportunity.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for making me a steward of great blessings. Thank you for allowing to be a part of something greater, which is you, Lord. Amen!
